I started my career in banking but after eight years decided the corporate world was not for me. So I stepped out and purchased a very small business and took employment in the evenings to make sure I was financially secure. Working 16-18 hours days was tough sometimes, I didn’t see much of my wife, but I was still much happier being self-employed.I eventually went on to buy and sell several businesses. ; After selling one business I was offered a position by the purchaser, a large company, and decided to take it. ; ; It did not take me long to realize why I left the corporate world to begin with and ventured out on my own again.When I decided to sell my current business I consulted with a Murphy Business Franchise here in Columbia, SC. I was impressed with the professionalism of the brokers as well as what they were telling me about Murphy Business. The franchisee asked me what I was going to do after I sell and the discussion led to me coming on board with Murphy.I was raised in Louisiana and attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am married to a wonderful woman, Renee. We are blessed to have three terrific children, Chase, Marae and Aubrey. I live in a divided household with Chase attending Clemson University and Marae at the University of South Carolina. ; Aubrey is a senior in High School. ;
