Over his 30 year career Doug has worked in many environments as large as a fortune 1500 company. Doug’s career lead him through the ranks of sales and management. Doug’s career has been with entrepreneurial businesses each with a common thread of having unique traits that could be built on to create sales. Doug has held positions with responsibilities to include Executive Management, company-wide leadership, organizational transformation, market/sales/revenue expansion, marketing, merchandising, promotions, retail store development, and E-commerce marketing and contract negotiations. After Doug Kelly left his career in 2007 as COO of a $180m Atlanta based high end appliance distributor, he took time to work on his own projects utilizing career knowledge and skills to consult in e-commerce, business advising and business turn-around. During this time Doug bought for turn-around and sold several businesses most recently the Esmeralda Inn & Restaurant located in Chimney Rock, NC. Along with Doug’s wife their journey has brought them here to western North Carolina where they currently live in Bat Cave. Keeping true to their beliefs their home represents the preservation they believe in. After selling the Esmeralda Inn Doug spent 6 months in 2014 working with local trade’s people to renovate their 1920’s original Bat Cave home. Doug’s new venture in Opening DK Professionals Realty Lake Lure will allow him to give localized Real Estate service. He plans on continuing to leverage his background to help sellers and buyers meet their goals in very diverse sales market.
