Kevin brings to Murphy over 15 years of leadership, operations, sales, and finance experience across a diverse range of industries including construction, healthcare, consumer goods and retail, restaurants, agribusiness, big data analytics, and Wall Street. Prior to joining Murphy, Kevin was a Director at Evercore -- a leading global investment bank and M&A advisor – where he specialized in consumer goods, restaurant, and agribusiness equity analysis. He and his team ranked consistently among the nation’s top financial analysts according to Institutional Investor magazine. Prior to Evercore, Kevin was a Vice President at RBC Capital Markets. Before the equities business, he worked for consumer research giant Nielsen where he led big data analytics projects for consumer product manufacturers, investment banks, and private equity. Kevin began his career in fixed income trading and syndication at Financial Northeastern in Fairfield, NJ. Kevin also brings extensive experience in the construction and healthcare industries. For two decades he has maintained key roles in his family’s residential and commercial construction business. Founded in 1975 by his father, the company has since won a National and several New Jersey Contractor of the Year awards. Kevin was also an Emergency Medical Technician for over ten years. As a crew chief and emergency vehicle operator, he led teams treating medical and trauma patients at MetLife Stadium (home of the Giants and Jets), at Penn State University, and with Cedar Grove Ambulance & Rescue Squad in NJ. He received his training from St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Kevin is a committee member and recent board director of the 300-year-old Fraunces Tavern Restaurant & Museum in New York City. He is also past president and co-founder of the Smeal Club of New York, a Penn State business school alumni association. Kevin lives in the Princeton, NJ area with his wife and family. He earned his B.S. with Distinction in Finance from Penn State with an accounting concentration and minors in law and media. He is a graduate of Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, NJ. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses and is a licensed NJ Real Estate Salesperson.
