Ken Whitley is a Rochester business broker of the well-known Murphy Business&Financial Corporation business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in Rochester, MI and nearest regions. Ken Whitley founded Murphy Business and Financial’s first office in southeast Michigan. With more than 25 years’ experience in management of both private and public companies, Ken spent the first couple of decades of his professional life as a software engineer, progressing to project leadership and engineering management positions. He completed this phase of his career as a program manager at Intel Corporation, where he effectively negotiated internal and external engagements.During his tenure at Intel, Ken began developing an algorithm for mutual fund investing in his spare time. Eventually he founded an investment advisory firm based on his algorithmic investing program, left Intel to operate the firm, and eight years later merged it with a much larger firm. Ken loves working with numbers, especially as part of a decision-making process. At the same time, he enjoys, values and appreciates the less quantifiable components that comprise most aspects of business.Ken holds an MBA from Michigan State University, graduating with honors. He also earned the prestigious Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor credential from the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors.Having personally experienced both the sale and purchase of businesses, Ken understands the risks and opportunities for both sides of the transaction.
