Chester Kelley is a business broker of the well-known Benchmark Business Brokers business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in LA and nearest regions. Chester T. "Catfish" Kelley has been a full service real estate and business broker for 45 years. He was originally licensed in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1972 when he was still a C-130E aircraft commander in the U.S. Air Force. [Kelley was awarded the Air Medal for combat missions in Vietnam.] Upon completing his 5 year military commitment and his return to his hometown Shreveport, Louisiana, Kelley has been actively involved in a wide range of business and investment activities - everything from restaurant ownership to providing stock market information. His real estate business has included the brokerage of residential properties, raw land, office buildings, motels, and restaurants. Kelley's nickname "Catfish" evolves from his 20 year ownership of Crescent Landing Catfish Restaurant which the Shreveport Times reported had "the best fried catfish" in town. Crescent Landing was even better known as the first restaurant in this region which honored military veterans on Veterans Day by giving them a free meal - serving 1500 veterans each year. He has been interested in politics since first getting to know Gov. John McKeithen while he was a student leader at LSU in Baton Rouge and has twice run for Congress. Kelley is a long time Rotarian.
