Lynch is a senior business executive and seasoned entrepreneur with a twenty-seven year proven track record in business leadership, operations and entrepreneurship. He has more than 15 years experience working in industries from: automotive and aerospace to steel making and food processing. He had the good fortune to work with one of the companies studied in the classic business book, “Good to Great†by Jim Collins. He knows from working directly with those executives and experiencing their successes and setbacks, how to set up a company to be self-managing as well as self-motivated. He also knows that having the “right people on the bus and the right people in the right positions†is the key to “getting it right†and strives for that in each venture he pursues. Eric is also the CEO/President/Co-Founder of FRONTIER ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING LLC. Prior to that, he was a Senior Technology Manager in Purdue Research Foundation’s Office of Technology Commercialization where his duties included the management of over 450 cases’ patent strategies & portfolios, technology and market assessments, valuations, development & negotiations of licenses and new company start-up formations. Prior to his career at Purdue, he founded and managed a small manufacturing company for seven years and before that, he was a partner in a Chicago-based boutique firm specializing in manufacturing operations consulting leveraging ERP systems to improve business processes and manufacturing operations. Eric earned a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University studying biomass gasification and alternative energy systems with a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering and Systems Analysis/Operations Research from Miami University.
