Lorraine Epperson is a business broker of the well-known Century 21 Purdum-Epperson business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in IL and nearest regions. Lorraine Epperson, a lifelong McDonough County resident, is a real estate broker and owner of Century 21 Purdum-Epperson, Inc. Lorraine entered the real estate business in 1974 with R.B. Purdum Real Estate firm. She has earned the Certified Residential Specialist certificate and Graduate Realtor Institute. Before turning to a business career, Lorraine was in the education field, where she started as a business teacher. She was later Director of Guidance at Macomb High School for twenty years. She earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Western Illinois University and has been involved in many of Western’s organizations. She serves on the WIU Foundation and is a Past President of the WIU Alumni Council. She served on the Board of Governors Universities that included five of the state’s universities. She served as a member of the WIU Board of Trustees for ten tears, where she served as Chairperson for three years. Lorraine and her husband purchased the R.B. Purdum Real Estate firm in 1985 and purchased the Century 21 franchise in 1990. For many years, Lorraine earned the Centurion Producer Award through Century 21 Real Estate Corporation. She has also earned the Quality Service Pinnacle Award for exceptional service. In 2007 she earned The President’s Award from Century 21 for earning the Centurion Award and the Quality Service Pinnacle Award for exceptional service in the same year. Her real estate achievements include being named Realtor of the year for three different years. For a number of years she was named a top producer in terms of “largest number of transactions” and “highest number of listings sold”. In May 2006, Lorraine received the WIU Distinguished Alumni Award. Other awards include Western Illinois University College of Business Distinguished Alumni Award, Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority National Woman of Distinction, and the Isaac and Ethel Leighty Community Award given by the McDonough County United Way. In the Macomb community, Lorraine is involved in many organizations and activities. She is a member of the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Lamoine Valley Board of Realtors, Retired Teachers Association, First Presbyterian Church, Macomb Area Economic Development Board of Directors, Community Quality of Life Advisory Committee, Past President Performing Arts Society, member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Housing Corporation and Western Illinois University Foundation Board.
