John Jensen - In the 1980’s John was a General Partner in J&H Properties, a real estate partnership, which owned, rehabbed and sold multifamily and single family residences. J&H Properties successfully rented the multifamily units and sold all properties at a profit. In 1987, John earned his Real Estate License and began selling residential and commercial real estate in Southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island as an agent for Pequot Properties. He earned his Broker’s License in 1990 and was promoted to Commercial Department Manager in 1994. In addition to his management duties, John’s current focus in on the sale and leasing of commercial real estate. John has sold/leased shopping centers, land, warehouse, office and light manufacturing space; sold businesses, multifamily buildings and single-family homes; worked with banks’ REO departments, including property management. John has consistently had yearly commercial real estate sales/leases in excess of $8mm to $10mm. Most recently John has achieved the SIOR Office Specialist designation awarded by the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors, an international association of professional commercial real estate brokers. Norm Peck - While employed for 20 years in Southeastern, CT as an independent insurance agent providing mainly property casualty and marine insurance to the personal and commercial markets, Norm has also been investing in real estate since 1975. This experience combined with over 24 years on the East Lyme Zoning Commission enable a broader understanding of the details involved in commercial real estate. Above average market knowledge has been attained through having done business in the area for so long. As a full time commercial realtor since 1993 in Southeastern CT, Norm has done everything form leasing a 500 square foot office to the sale of a multi-million dollar asphalt plant site. Averaging about two transactions per week in 2004 and 2005 takes effort, which he is eager to put forth.
