About
David Palmer is a Camp Hill business broker of the well-known Murphy Business&Financial Corporation business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in Camp Hill, PA and nearest regions. My early working years began as I joined my father in the family business of sales and distribution of printing paper. I learned firsthand the commitment ;and hours necessary to own, manage and be self-employed. When we sold the business, I went to work for a printing company, attended night classes at a local college and started my family. My enlistment in the Air National Guard continued along with some necessary part time jobs. Call it pursuing the American Dream, digging in and scratching hard to attain my goals. In a short period of time, I gained invaluable experience and a positive, determined outlook on life. After 4 years and with a second child on the ;way, ;I wanted more and needed a career change. My new path would be in selling commodity supplies and capital equipment for a large company. That company grew into a very large regional outlet for an internationally known parent company. ;During 30 plus years of developing long term relationships while selling to all types and sizes of businesses, I gained much insight by observing their operations and how the owners or management teams led the companies. During my weekly or bi-weekly visits of these businesses, ;I became a trusted vendor partner gaining useful information and knowledge, often being consulted on various issues outside my product lines. ;Advancing to Sales Manager of a sales force of 24 and serving on the company's executive committee overseeing logistics, equipment service, and customer service ;provided an additional nuance to work and life experiences. Attaining CIMS certification with ISSA (International Sanitary Suppliers Assoc.) gave the company an edge in the marketplace.Alongside those 30 plus ;years, I served as President of a large community organization, catered food to groups as large as 500; held various committee positions in my church; enjoyed 20 years in scouting (one son achieved Eagle Scout); also owned and managed several small apartment houses; completed 20 years and retired from the US Air Force, PA ANG (Operations Center Specialist & Disaster Preparedness Instructor). My wife, Roxanne, and I are born natives of Central Pennsylvania, living here all of our lives and enjoy two adult sons and their families including two grandchildren. As your business broker, I will continue and strengthen my consultative and detailed partner approach to serving you, my client. With your interest in mind, I will draw on Murphy’s extensive experience & services while utilizing my experience in and around many sizes and types of businesses. Whether you are selling or buying we will jointly determine your personal & business needs and desires-agreeing and pursuing them together.
