Jamison Rounds is a business broker of the well-known Murphy Business & Financial Corporation business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in SD and nearest regions. A licensed attorney, Jamison is South Dakota's first Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA) via the Association of Mergers & Acquisitions Advisors (AM&AA). He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) via the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). He has met the educational requirements making him eligible to be listed on the Minnesota roster for qualified neutrals (mediators and arbitrators). In addition he is a commercial real estate and business broker. Experienced in deals ranging from mainstreet to full middle market, he currently advises the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, the nation's largest non profit provider of senior care services, in their acquisitions of Home Health and Hospice agencies. He is licensed as a real estate broker or associate broker in South Dakota, Minnesota, and North Dakota. He is licensed as an attorney in South Dakota and Minnesota (inactive status in Minnesota). He is a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club for Murphy Business and Financial Corporation Mountain West and was that region’s “Rookie of the Year” during his first full year with Murphy Business. As an attorney with his former firm, Wesolick, Konenkamp & Rounds, Jamison worked with business sales, transactional law, and business planning and succession. Jamison was the Director of the Governor’s Office of Strategic Initiative for the State of South Dakota, where he was a business recruiter, international relations lead, science and technology policy officer, and entrepreneur advisor. He was the Governor’s staff lead working in conjunction with department heads and outside counsel on the due diligence on and acquisition of the Homestake Gold Mine. In the private sector he consulted on the Gluco Boy™ (now Bayer Didget® ) development and exit. Experienced in various sizes of transactions: restaurant franchises, distilleries, cattle companies, aviation services, etc., Jamison’s legal background and love for entrepreneurs keep him involved with all levels of business development: from start-ups and franchises to full Middle Market sales and acquisitions. Frequently a working on the acquisition side, his client experience goes from one-person operations to serving being the lead acquisitions advisor for a billion dollar company. Jamison is a Truman Scholar and served on both the adjunct and regular faculty of Political Science at the University of South Dakota. He co-coordinated the successful 2002 primary and general election campaigns for Governor M. Michael Rounds. Jamison has lived and studied in Germany, Poland, and Italy, including seminary studies at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, and is a member of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars. He has been the Governor’s representative to the South Dakota Enterprise Institute and is secretary-treasurer of the Great Plains International Trade Association, is a member of Rotary International, Knights of Columbus, the South Dakota Planners’ Association and various other charitable and professional organizations. He is a partner and responsible broker for Murphy Business Dakota Lakes and also does commercial real estate with NAI Sioux Falls. More important than all the above: he is a husband and father of four children.
