He has reviewed and appraised on a preliminary basis over 300 businesses for marketing purposes and performs appraisals for the sale or purchase of a business as well as owner exit planning. He has over 30 years experience as a Business Intermediary and holds many certifications, including CMAI (Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Intermediary); CBA (Certified Business Appraiser) for 30 plus years; CMEA (Certified Machinery/Equipment Appraiser) with the NEBB Institute; CTEP (Certified Tax Effects Professional); SBA (Senior Business Analyst) with the Society of Business Analysts; and CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) with the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). Prior to becoming a Business Intermediary, Fred was a Business and Tax Consultant for General Business Services, the largest small business and tax consulting company in the United States. He worked with over 250 businesses in this capacity and was the recipient of the GBS Certificate of Excellence and Constant Counselor Awards. In addition, Fred prepared and presented Business Seminars for the Small Business Administration (SBA) and a national retail magazine. Fred continues to keep himself current in his field by attending numerous advanced real estate courses in appraising, sales, exchanging and other subjects. He has attended over 100 seminars in the area of business, tax consulting, marketing and promotion. Fred received a B.S.F.S. Degree, Economics and Foreign Trade with Minors in Business and International Transportation from Georgetown University.
