Many of those businesses have been in the highly regulated Aviation industry. He purchased his first aircraft charter company in 1975 at the age of 25. Within 24 months he turned it around financially and sold it to another investor as a profitable company.In 1977 he joined a manufacturing company managing their corporate flight department operating 2 jet aircraft until the company was sold. In 1980, he joined The Standard Oil Company of Ohio in (now BP America) where he spent the next 15 years. His tenure at BP America included the a 1 year temporary duty assignment as Project Manager in Bogota, Colombia setting up a corporate flight department for BP South America. That assignment included importing 4 helicopters, managing the development of a remote aviation facility, and overseeing the construction of a corporate hanger in Bogota. In 1995 Mike resigned his position from BP America and started his own company. Over the last 20+ years he has purchased and sold 3 companies and was able to create growth of 30% per year in one of those companies from 2007-2011 during the country's worst recession. That company became one of the leading providers of collegiate air transportation for many NCAA teams. Most recently Mike took the lead and made the financial investment to bring a 53 year old company out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy in a very short period of time and later sold his position in that company. He earned his Bachelor degree in 1973. With over 40 years of experience as a pilot and business owner, Mike brings extensive understanding and discipline to the sale and acquisition of companies.
