About
Ken Janet is the consummate business broker having gained experience while being employed in the finance and insurance industries his entire business career. Ken attended Louisiana State University and due to the “lottery draft system” joined the United States Air Force. He served in Viet Nam and other Southeast Asia countries and was honorably discharged. Ken graduated from Universal College with a degree in Business. Ken became employed with a company now named Wells Fargo and has since retired from such company. He was a Branch Manager with duties encompassing approving loans for individuals, business owners, collections, personnel and business development. His branch was profitable while keeping bad debt below 1.25%. An opportunity in the insurance industry allowed Ken to be the Marketing Director of a large nationwide workers compensation managing general agency. His duties included managing marketers in 22 states charged with developing business relationships with independent insurance agents to secure submissions that could be booked. The result was taking the premium booked from zero to over $200 million booked annually. Ken then became a marketing manager with one of the largest insurance premium financing corporations in the country. His territory included Louisiana, Mississippi and a portion of Tennessee. Ken transformed that profit center into a positive profit center utilizing existing contacts within the industry. He was on the company’s initial team for the implementing and writing of “Best Practices” that are in place today. Ken holds a Louisiana Life and Health Insurance license and a Louisiana Real Estate Sales Person license. Both are in good standing without any complaints ever filed. An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, along with the business acumen Ken has acquired, allows any business owner to discuss confidentially the selling or buying of a business.
