Jeff, a self-described serial entrepreneur, has founded, owned, managed and sold several light manufacturing and service businesses. His breadth of experience in developing and preparing for sale a number of his businesses has given him a unique insight into the challenges and opportunities, into the intellectual and emotional issues inherent in owning and selling a business. He knows, from personal experience, how to work through the operational, financial and procedural problems that are characteristic of a successful business ownership transition, whether disposition, acquisition or merger. Jeff is prepared to serve his clients as an advisor and intermediary for everything from lower middle market mergers to small business sale transactions. In addition to his several ownership positions, he has served in CEO, Vice President, Sales Management and Business Development positions. The industries he has been involved in include plastics, industrial design, medical devices, printing, promotional products and displays, fitness facilities, and food and beverage products. Jeff’s degree in Industrial Marketing from Michigan State was followed by studies at UC Berkeley. He lives with his wife in Berkeley. Although recognized for his enthusiasm and expertise in fine wine and food, he is also well known for his performance as a competitive, long-distance open-water swimmer, having swum the Golden Gate Bridge and the Escape From Alcatraz swims several times and maintaining his fitness by swimming several miles per week.
