About
A TEDx speaker, DisruptHR Organizer and conference speaker, Josh uses his 20+ years in HR to help organizations find their focus and move their businesses forward. Josh utilizes a number of processes (Lean Six Sigma, and others) to help companies develop winning and productive teams. While his career started as a Division I Women’s Basketball coach, it took a turn to HR, which has spanned both the US and abroad, manufacturing and tribal gaming. He has lead HR for organizations from 10-2,500 people. In the pursuit of challenging the next generation, he has spoken at many colleges, including Oklahoma Wesleyan and Oral Roberts University. He currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma Human Resources Association, as well as the Oklahoma Manufacturers Association. He is a past board member of Volunteers of America of Oklahoma, and past president of the Muskogee Chapter of SHRM. He also co-organizes DisruptHR Tulsa. He received the 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award from Oklahoma Human Resources Association. He has a green belt in Lean Six Sigma, and is certified in Human Centered Design from IDEO. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his wife and three children, coaching, playing basketball, and volunteering at church. He and his wife own a number of Sylvan Learning Center franchise locations throughout Oklahoma, invest in real estate, and help mentor and fund entrepreneurs locally.
