Frank Rubin is a Boca Raton business broker of the well-known Amerivest Group business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in Boca Raton, FL and nearest regions. Did my undergraduate work at McGill University and earned my MBA from Columbia University, NY in 1963. Acquired my own business in 1974 selling and servicing business machines and office furniture with annual revenues of $1,000,000. Built our sales volume up to $50,000,000 with 500 employees through acquisitions and mergers (both private & public traded companies), start-ups of new divisions and branches, and divestitures of unprofitable areas. Some major acquisitions included Royal Business Machines of Canada and Dejur-Grundig (an AMEX company). Negotiated major distribution agreements with the likes of Steelcase. Konica, and Simplex Time Recorder. Sold out in 1997 to Ikon Business Solutions, a Nasdaq publicly traded company. During these 30+ years, I gained invaluable knowledge in the process of buying and selling businesses of all sizes and dealing with the complexities of mergers. During the last twelve years in southeast Florida, I have been involved in several Venture Capital projects (all start-ups), and very active in Commercial Real Estate, developing, acquiring and selling many office buildings in Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. I currently own and manage five buildings. My recent acquisition of Amerivest represents a new venture for me where I can use all the skills and experiences that I have acquired over the past almost 40 years to help others achieve the same levels of success and greater than I have enjoyed; besides early retirement was becoming a real bore.
