Thomas Lang is a business broker of the well-known Thomas Lang Cpa Broker business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in CO and nearest regions. Tom's background most recently includes six years experience with a Colorado business brokerage. Tom listed and sold or advised buyers on at least 50 CPA practice transfers. In addition, Tom brokered several non CPA firm businesses which include a Westminster whiskey distillery and related real estate, Denver warehouse/distribution business and Littleton music venue/tavern as a co-broker/buyer representative, Durango auto service center-car wash and related real estate, Denver Italian market & deli "Spinelli's market", along with liquor store, couple sign shops and mail centers, and Aurora wine bar and painting. Tom started and grew a full service CPA firm from September, 1983 through January, 2010 until he successfully transferred ownership. Tom managed a large client base and professional staff of five accountants. The firm, Lang & Company, CPAs provided audit, review and compilation of financial statements along with tax planning and compliance. Prior to that Tom worked with a Denver management consulting firm after earning an MBA from University of Denver in August, 1984 and for five years with two CPA firms in Denver and Troy, Michigan. He graduated with honors from Michigan State University. Tom's career as a CPA was focused on the closely-held family business and the owner's family and often included succession planning discussions laced with income & estate planning. Tom has a keen interest in how best to transfer the family business maximizing after tax profits. His passion is helping other business owners achieve their goals which now include growth through acquisition or sale and taking a new direction in life. Some retire to travel and other interests while some start a new business.
