David Burgess is a New Haven business broker of the well-known Woodbridge International business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in New Haven, CT and nearest regions. Prior to joining Woodbridge, David founded First City Corporate Advisory Services with James Taylor in 1996. In 17 years they have handled over 180 engagements — covering M&A, capital raising, valuations, independent expert’s reports and strategy advice. They have been involved in many transactions involving financial services, technology, health and industrial services. Their clients have ranged from start-ups to a number of Fortune 500 companies. Before founding First City, David had 12 years senior management experience with HSBC Group in Australia. He holds a B.Bus from University of Technology, Sydney and is a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the CFA Institute.
