Don Wendel brings 15 plus years of entrepreneurial experience with startups, turnarounds, and mergers in the transportation industry to Murphy Business & Financial Corporation (MBFC). His diverse and impressive business experience also includes logistics, operations, management, sales, business development, marketing, customer service, contract negotiations, and training.After relocating to Dallas in 2007, he decided to purchase a business in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Mr. Wendel quickly got first-hand exposure to the common flaws and challenges of the business brokerage industry. He soon realized that finding a solid and knowledgeable broker, who didn’t believe in a shot-gun approach, was as equally challenging as finding a solid business to buy. Through that process, he met Richard Gadberry, the owner of MBFC North and South Texas. Mr. Wendel quickly recognized the opportunity that MBFC offered and why it was the fastest growing business brokerage firm in North America. In a turn of events, they decided to become partners and leverage their solid business backgrounds to drive one of the most successful MBFC regions in the country.As President of MBFC North and South Texas, Mr. Wendel is responsible for managing the region’s overall operations and finances for the companies and for locating and qualifying potential franchise owners and agents that meet the company’s high standards of excellence. He, in conjunction with Richard, are responsible for securing the firm’s preferred partner network, with Don’s primary focus on leveraging his vast banking relationships to secure SBA and conventional lending sources for their clients. Don, in conjunction with Richard and 2 top producing brokers from the region, is a member of the company’s Mergers and Acquisitions deal team.
