Julie Flakstad is a business broker of the well-known Hughes Klaiber business brokerage company who helps people sell their business in NY and nearest regions. Julie has eighteen years experience as both an entrepreneur and marketing professional across various industries and disciplines. In 2005, she co-founded Blow, a beauty services and product business, which is today recognized for having created blow outs as a new category in beauty. After six years of building the brand and managing its daily operations, she successfully sold her business in 2011, working in conjunction with Hughes Klaiber. Prior to Blow, Julie spent seven years at IBM's Armonk, New York headquarters and in Paris, France where her roles included managing global advertising for IBM's small business division, as well as developing and executing demand generation programs globally. Julie holds an MBA from Columbia Business School ('99), with a major in entrepreneurial studies and a B.A. from Hamilton College ('93). Having sold her own business, Julie completely understands all the issues, challenges, and concerns associated with making the decision to sell, finding the right buyer, and executing the transaction. She lives in Old Greenwich, CT with her husband and two children.
